FENUGREEK SEED

Fenugreek seed has anti-inflammatory properties. Uses include reduced risk of diabetes, reduced risk of heart conditions, increase milk production, improved stamina, mouth ulcers, and promoting hair growth.

This herb is great for grounding, useful for empaths. It is also good for protection and centering. Some other uses include luck, prosperity, and fertility. 

BROWN FLAXSEED

Overwhelmingly popular health herb as it has many benefits. Great daily supplement, reduce cancer risks, lower blood pressure, improve heart health, help with menopausal symptoms.

FO-TI ROOT

Fo-Ti health benefits include anti-aging, cancer prevention, heart health, improved memory, treatment for skin conditions, joint pain, and increased kidney and liver function.

Similar to its medicinal effects, the magickal properties are longevity, youth, and healing. Its also used for sexual energy and fertility.

FUMITORY

GALANGAL ROOT

As with Ginger, the obvious uses for Galangal are as a, warming, soothing carminative stomach ally that aids indigestion, flatulence and nausea, especially from travel sickness. But Galangal is more powerful than that. It appears to be effective in the treatment of ulcers (though some sources warn against this use) and be able to fight candida albicans. During the Middle Ages it had a reputation for heart complaints, which was long considered superstition.

Magickal uses include winning in court, doubling money, hex breaking and sex magick. Burn as incense to remove evil spells and break curses. Carry for protection, to improve psychic abilities and to bring good health. Carry to court to make the judge or jury feel favorably inclined toward you. Wrap money around the root and it will multiply threefold. Burn vigilantly for 14 days before a court case, saving the ashes and bringing them to court in a green flannel bag for luck.

GENTIAN ROOT

Gentian root is used for general digestive problems such as loss of appetite, gas, bloating, and diarrhea. Treats skin conditions and cancer.

This herb is used magickally to undo the effects of a spell, ground, connect to higher self, and see reality of a situation. 

GINGER ROOT

Most well known for the ability to treat motion sickness and other sicknesses that cause nausea, ginger can also be used as a powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant.

Ginger is a very energetically fiery herb and so is used in many passionate and powerful spells. It is often used to enhance the effectiveness and power of an act or oneself. Popularly used for sexuality, prosperity, and protection.

GINKGO LEAF

Ginkgo leaf extract is used in medicine due to its therapeutic actions in regulating cerebral blood flow, protection against free radicals, and delaying the progress of dementia and diabetes.

Aphrodisiac, associated with fertility. Carry or use in amulets and charms as a healing herb. Useful in ritual healing. The dried nuts represent male fertility. Useful in all creative work. Immerse in water, then remove and keep in the bedroom to gain grace, love, and beauty.

GOLDENROD

Goldenrod is an anti-inflammatory and diuretic. Treats UTIs, kidney stones and digestive problems.

Symbolizes good fortune, luck, love, and money. Aids in divination. Historically used as a dowsing rod to point in direction of treasure.

GOTU KOLA

Ayurvedic practitioners suggest the following applications for Gotu Kola: Adrenal purifier, AIDS, blood purifier, eczema, epilepsy, insanity, hypochondria, intermittent fevers, hair loss, immune system boost (cleansing and nourishing), longevity, memory, nervous disorders, psoriasis, senility, skin conditions (chronic and obstinate), tetanus, convulsions, elephantiasis, bowel disorders. Rejuvenative for brain cells and nerves and promotes intelligence.

Gotu Kola dried herb is mainly used in meditation incense blends or can be used alone, smolder on charcoal discs prior to and meditation (do not burn during mediation). It can also be used the same way for psychic development.

HAWTHORN BERRIES

Hawthorn has a lot to do with circulation and so protects against heart and blood-related diseases. It can also be used in skin-related disorders such as rashes or lesions.

HOLY BASIL

Holy basil is used to treat many conditions, including H1N1 (swine) flu, diabetes, the common cold, headache, fever, stress, upset stomach, earache, and more. It has also been used as a mosquito repellant and topically (on the skin) to treat ringworm.

HOREHOUND

Used for many digestion problems such as loss of appetite, indigestion, gas and bloating, diarrhea, constipation, and liver issues. Also used for respiratory problems like cough, mucus build-up, asthma, and bronchitis.

Its name is a derivative of Horus, the Egyptian god of sky and light, and is often used in rituals in this god's honor. Has strong protection properties.

HYSSOP

Hyssop is considered an adaptogen, antispasmodic, and carminative. In addition, a diaphoretic, digestive, diuretic, and expectorant. Hypotensive, nervine, sedative. Many mentions in the Bible. Most importantly as an herb to consume during passover. Some cultures consider it a “cure all”. That is to say, they believe it treats a wide variety of complaints. In the 1st century AD, Dioscordides recommended a recipe containing a mixture of hyssop, figs, rue, honey, and water for treating multiple conditions. For example, pleurisy, asthma, tight-chestedness, respiratory congestion, and chronic coughs.

​

Has been used for centuries (if not longer) as a cleaning, clearing, and purification herb, certainly when used as incense. Use in baths to wash away the evil eye, or baneful magic. In addition, use after cursing and hexing to cleanse the practitioner of any repercussions. Use hyssop in protective sachets or likewise, carry it with you for the same purpose. Associates with the planet Jupiter firstly, and the element of air secondly. Moreover, it’s considered masculine in nature.

JASMINE FLOWERS

A popular cross-culture herb, Jasmine is used for many purposes and has many meanings. Medicinally it is used for problems concerning the liver or stomach. It is also commonly used as a sedative for pain or anxiety.

Magickally Jasmine is used as a symbol for love, purity, innocence, and sensuality. It is powerful burned as incense or ingested as tea. 

JOB'S TEARS

Job's tears are used for fevers, as a diuretic, for cancer, respiratory infections, arthritis, and cholesterol.

Magickally this herb is used for finding employment, wishes, and luck.

JUNIPER BERRY

Ingested forms of juniper assist with inflammation and increase production of stomach acid, making them useful remedies to help soothe the gastrointestinal system. It is a helpful treatment for conditions such as upset stomach, heartburn, flatulence, bloating, loss of appetite, gastrointestinal infections, and intestinal worms. The antiseptic properties in juniper disinfect the urinary tract to provide treatment and relief for conditions like urinary tract infections, urethritis, kidney stones, and bladder stones. Juniper also acts as a diuretic to help flush excess fluids from the body. This helps rid the body of excess uric acid which can lead to gout. It also reduces fluid around the joints. Ingested juniper is high in natural insulin and therefore lowers blood sugar levels. It can also help heal the pancreas as long as no permanent damage has occurred on the organ. Juniper also alleviates problems associated with menstruation.

Banishes all things injurious to good health; attracts good, healthy energies and love. Juniper berries can be carried by males to increase potency. Use a string of juniper berries to attract love.
